The private pilot license is the essential first step to becoming a professional pilot. Obtaining it will involve flying an airplane of your choice (see below for CDA aircraft options) for approximately 35 hours. Students will learn a solid foundation on such topics as aerodynamics, weather, cross country navigation and, most importantly, safety.

  • 20 hours dual instruction

  • 20 hours solo

  • 20 hours ground instruction, written test, check ride
